He previously served Western New York as a member of the New York State Senate and Buffalo Common Council. He has been active with the National Mayors Against Illegal Guns Coalition in efforts to prevent gun-related crime. He was the first African-American politician elected to the New York State Senate to represent a district outside New York City. Brown was born and raised in Queens, New York. After graduating from August Martin High School, Brown attended Buffalo State College. He was recently re-elected Mayor of Buffalo on November 7, 2017.
Christine Quinn is the Vice Chair of the New York State Democratic Committee.
She formerly served as the Speaker of the New York City Council. The third person to hold … this office, she was the first female and first openly gay speaker. As City Council speaker, Quinn was New York City’s third most powerful public servant. During her time in the City Council, Quinn served as chair of the Health Committee. She sponsored the Equal Benefits Bill and the Health Care Security Act, which requires that city contractors provide parity in benefits between married spouses and registered domestic partners. Quinn was born in Glen Cove, New York, one of two daughters of Mary and Lawrence Quinn. She went to School of the Holy Child in the village of Old Westbury on Long Island in New York, and graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

He served in a variety of roles for President Obama’s political organization over the course of seven years, including as the New York State Director of Organizing for America and as Deputy National Training Director and GOTV Director for the 2012 re-election campaign. He has also served as Vice President of Programs at Educators for Excellence, and as a Senior Advisor to Everytown for Gun Safety. Prior to entering the world of politics, Berman worked as an attorney at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, and as Artistic Director for the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. He is a graduate of UCLA and University of Virginia Law School.
