We are pleased to announce that during our swing through the North Country last week we met our goal of collecting more than 1000 ideas from everyday New Yorkers, with the ideas coming from nearly every county in New York State.
This week, Democrats are taking the “Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas” tour North with stops in Franklin, Clifton, Essex, Hamilton, St. Lawrence, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties.
Yesterday, Democrats wrapped up week four of the Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas tour with two stops near Albany. Following yesterday’s meetings, Democratic Party leaders have held at least one meeting with everyday New Yorkers in every county in Western NY, Central NY, the Southern Tier, the Capital Region, the Hudson Valley, and NYC.
As of yesterday, the “Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas” tour has been to every county in Western NY. Today, we’re completing our swings through the Southern Tier and Hudson Valley with four more stops, starting in Orange County.
Week four on the “Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas” tour is well underway. Today we’re making three stops in Western NY to ask everyday New Yorkers how they would improve our state.
For the last three weeks, we’ve been crisscrossing New York tapping into the knowledge of everyday citizens to find original solutions to our state’s familiar problems. We’ve watched as hundreds of suggestions have come pouring in, and we’re not done yet.
Today, we’re wrapping up the third week of the “Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas” tour, and the imaginative ideas keep on coming. From Richmond County to Erie County and everywhere in between, New Yorkers are brimming with novel ways to solve the problems we’re all too familiar with.
After a marathon series of ten events across New York State on Tuesday, the “Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas” tour is rolling on. We’re still reading through all the ideas that have poured in this week, but as always, we’re seeing ideas that challenge the conventional wisdom and make us think.
Yesterday was the busiest day on the Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas Tour, with stops by Mayor Bob Duffy, Jay Jacobs, Charlie King, and June O’Neill in ten counties. From Queens to Herkimer, Democrats came out in droves to share their solutions to our common problems.
Today, the Road to 1000 Democratic Ideas tour will be making ten stops across New York State. This is the busiest day of the tour, and we're sure that New Yorkers will keep providing us with reams of original and provocative suggestions for how to improve our State at every stop.
